Kazakhstan is the largest inland country, rich in variety of mineral resources. The Karaganda Region, known as the largest energy producing area in Kazakhstan, particularly excels in coal producing. Numerous open-pit coal mines are scattered there, producing high-quality coal at a low cost, which gains much popularity in the European markets.
In southwest Karaganda, Kazakhstan Energy Company operates a large open-pit coal mine. As a key account of SDLG, there are currently 7 large wheel loaders, 3 excavators, 1 motor grader and 1 road roller serving in the mine.
Andrey, the coal mine's equipment manager, guided us to the area where the finished coal was stockpiled. He pointed to the working wheel loaders and explained, "We start by transporting the coal from the pithead using a large mining truck, then we screen it here and transport it to the railway station with a dump truck for export to European countries. With the increasing demand for coal in winter, the SDLG wheel loaders with larger buckets has significantly improved our production efficiency." As he spoke, a dump truck was fully loaded and headed towards the main road.
"In order to ensure that the dump truck can drive smoothly and efficiently, we have to repair the roads in the mining area every day. SDLG all-wheel-drive motor grader is powerful and has strong driving force. It has been in service for nearly 8,000 hours till now." Andrey pointed to the approaching G9220F motor grader and said proudly.
