On a crisp fall day in August, SDLG officially kicked off the first “Top Driver” campaign in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The Top Driver campaign is one of the most successful public welfare activities initiated by SDLG, aiming to encourage drivers to improve their operation skills in the form of fun games, while training professionals for the industry, and promoting the healthy development of the industry. All the contestants are excited to compete with the best drivers from all over the country in the competition. To be ranked in the Top Driver event is not only an honor to be proud of, but also a testament to the outstanding skills of an operator.
SEVALO, SDLG dealership in Kazakhstan, invited more than 50 loader and excavator drivers to Almaty for the event. In the official competition, the participating teams are divided into loader crew and excavator crew, and each group's competition is conducted in the form of a combination of theory and practice. Before the theory test, participants were trained on SDLG profile, product operation and maintenance knowledge.
The items that the contestants will compete against include transferring raw eggs with the bucket of the excavator, opening beer bottles with the bucket teeth of the loader and so on. The operators were confident and unhurried, and performed extremely meticulous operations with huge machines. The masters among them could even easily manipulate the wire tied to the bucket teeth of the excavator and make it pass through the nut, and stack the nuts one by one into a pyramid shape. After rat competition, the two participating teams greeted their respective champions, Shakhanov Eldor Babanazaruly, an excavator driver from Zimkent State, and Dzhiemuratov Azammat Zhaksylykovych, a loader operator from Almaty State.
After the game, the excavator team champion Shakhanov said happily: "As an excavator operator, this is my most unforgettable experience, not only because I am happy to have won the trophy, but mainly because it makes me feel the value of being an excavator operator. Many thanks to SDLG and SEVALO for this opportunity, I hope this event will be held every year in the future. I will always support and participate in it!"
The first Top Driver campaign in Kazakhstan came to a successful end. Since the domestic Top Driver campaign was launched in Beijing on April 26, 2013, it has covered more than 40 cities and 70 training camps, involving over 15 thousand construction machinery operators and millions of relevant users.
The Top Driver campaign encouraged the morale of the operators, enhanced the popularity of SDLG, and brought a positive atmosphere to the industry. As a result, the campaign had also been extended to Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. It will be held in more countries in the future.
